Wichita Riverfest 2017

From the beginning of this project, our mission was to bridge a perceived gap between the fine art world and graphic design, and for us, this project is proof that this kind of creative collaboration is not only possible but ultimately greater than anything either of us could have come up with on our own.

This spirit of collaboration and our love of Wichita took us on a creative journey from old pulp movie posters and the Golden Age of Comics, to the works of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli, in an attempt to best capture the feelings of joy and bliss this city has instilled in us.

We hope this design will encourage that same spirit of collaboration within this community, in people of all experience-levels, backgrounds, disciplines, and beliefs. We are all wonderfully, uniquely human and the possibilities are truly endless when we’re working together.

We hope our Poster and Buttons will serve as a lasting symbol of that union and pride in our City and we are HONORED to celebrate Wichita, at Riverfest.
